LVIAs and site appraisals are a major component of my work, working on all types of development from residential to energy to minerals and waste. I've also produced a number of successful written reps landscape appeals for solar schemes, as well as assisting in the production of landscape appeal statements for a number of public inquiries for residential and wind farm developments.

All LVIA work is undertaken with regard to the latest guidance, notably IEMA and the Landscape Institute’s “Guidelines for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment” 3rd Edition (2013), The LI's TGN06/19 "Visual Representation of Development Proposals" and Natural England’s “An Approach to Landscape Character Assessment” (2014).

 I can undertake technical/peer reviews of reports produced by others, either as part of your quality management system when your resources are already stretched, or simply because you need a second opinion. 

With low ‘small practice’ overheads I can provide a competitively-priced service with timely report production.

 I provide landscape design services of all forms:

• single gardens for one-off developments;
• on-plot hard and soft landscape design for large- or small-scale residential developments;
• public realm design;
• design and restoration of new and existing parklands; and
• design of new woodlands and screenbelts.

I also have extensive experience of designing visual mitigation measures and screen planting for large-scale commercial developments and minerals and waste sites.

I run all the 'usual' design software packages, including Keyscape/AutoCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp Pro and Adobe Creative Suite.
